Why Can’t People Understand the Truth?

prawda

We fight for our loved ones, for our family, for our husbands, wives, children, parents, friends…
We fight so that, just like us, they may have the privilege of understanding the truth. This is the reason for our determination, our efforts:
them understanding the truth.
Not everyone is capable of this, not everyone has this opportunity. These abilities, these possibilities, these opportunities are simply
taken away from them.
Let’s see what advice God gives us so that the person we care about will understand the truth.

1 – Appropriate Behavior

“The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient” – 2 Timothy 2:24.

We cannot argue with them. This is usually a difficult task because we are impatient. We want to convey the whole truth here and now. We expect the person listening to accept it and implement it in their life. We want them to thank us and finally start acting in accordance to the truth. Unfortunately, this is usually not the case. As the proverb says, „like peas against a wall”, the people listening do not understand anything. They are irritated by our words, so an argument is just around the corner.

If God tells us not to argue, it means that at some point we should withdraw, fall silent.
It is also
very important that we are not insulted when called names or ridiculed. We should endure this evil and not return evil for evil.
It’
s hard, and it is a great art to behave so patiently.

2 – We kindly explain

“instructing His opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:25.

A proper discussion or exchange of views is based on respect and mutual listening. We should dictate these conditions, which means that we ourselves are obliged to maintain enormous patience. In any serious discussion, when there are different opinions, it is very easy to get into an argument. Our task is to withdraw when we feel that the next word will spark an explosion. However, when the discussion is taking place at a calm level, then in the spirit of politeness, gentleness with the right choice of words, let us explain, let us convey the truth.

Let us always bear in mind that there is a possibility of understanding the truth by those who listen to us. Therefore, we should be patient and withdraw from arguments. Let us remember that it is not us who decide whether a given person will be given understanding or not. It is God, at His discretion, who can tear them out of the traps of satan and give them the opportunity to change their mind. We are only a tool.

3 – We understand that they are captured by satan

“Then they may come to their senses and escape the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.” – 2 Timothy 2:26.

This can be a really difficult conclusion for many people.
Usually, when someone is quarrelsome, arrogant, we say that they have a bad character. When they sulk, have a change of mood, we say that they are having a bad day.
However, the Bible does not give us any room to maneuver here. It says directly: they fell into a trap, they were captured by
satan. Not only did satan ‘capture’ them, but they are also fulfilling his will.
Admit that this is strong, Reader.

It turns out that a person who is unable or unwilling to learn the truth is under the influence of satan. Evil spiritual figures direct their life, take control over them. That is why they argue, do not understand simple messages, do not understand what is simple, logical and obvious to us. They cannot understand this because satan has bound their free will. They do not think with their minds, they do not control their wisdom. Evil spiritual figures have taken over all this.

Why has satan taken over our loved ones?

Because they do not seek the true God, they do not care about the Biblical truth or the true teachings of Christ.
These religious, historical, political and health lies are enough for them.
Since they do not care about the truth and cultivate lies, then by their will they pass under the rule of satan.
That’s how it works…

“In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” – 2 Corinthians 4:4.

“For this reason, when I could no longer stand it, I also sent him to find out about your faith, fearing that the tempter had tempted you and that our labor might be for nothing.” – 1 Thessalonians 3:5.

“So we wanted to come to you — even I, Paul, time and again — but satan hindered us.” – 1 Thessalonians 2:18.

“And we sent Timothy, our brother and God’s coworker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you concerning your faith” – 2 Thessalonians 3:2.
