What Happens To Our Loved Ones When They Die?

It is a sad time when someone close to us dies. In the time of COVID, a situation may arise in which we will not be able to hug the dying person, be with them, hold their hand, comfort them. After all, such a person feels, thinks. The support of loved ones makes it easier, lighter for them. Respect, love, care for the elderly, mom, dad is very important in Biblical teachings. Unfortunately, in the time of COVID, it may be difficult when they end up in the hospital.

In addition, they can burn the body of a deceased person, which is not always in line with our view. Let us note that the bodies of people who served the true God were usually buried in a grave, in the ground. This should give us something to think about, that we should not cremate the corpse.
Long-term mourning

„We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, concerning those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Yeshu died and rose again, in the same way, through Yeshu, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14.

Really, we need to get over the sadness of a deceased person quickly. Not only can we fall into depression and stress for many months or years, but we also show a lack of faith in the words of the Bible.
Long-term mourning has no Biblical justification.
God clearly says that we should not grieve over death but believe in the resurrection. We have two resurrections predicted. The first for those serving the true God, the second resurrection is for the rest of us. When the deceased person has a chance for the first resurrection, our faith, knowledge and wisdom should restore our sense.
In such a situation, the person who died has a better existence than we do.

Why?

Who goes to heaven after death?
If the person who died was a servant of the true God and persevered in faith until death, then with great probability we can assume that their spirit and soul went to heaven.

There are places in Heaven that the Bible calls: garden/paradise and altar.

„And He (Yeshu) said to him, „Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in paradise.” – Luke 23:43.

„I know that this man — whether in the body or out of the body I don’t know; God knows — was caught up into paradise (3857) and heard inexpressible words, which a human being is not allowed to speak.” – 2 Corinthians 12:3-4.

„Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise (3857) of God.” – Revelation 2:7.

„When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered because of the Word of God and the testimony they had given. They cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, the One who is Holy and True, how long until You judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”So they were each given a white robe, and they were told to rest a little while longer until the number would be completed (4137) of their fellow servants and their brothers and sisters, who were going to be killed just as they had been.” – Revelation 6:9-11

People who have persevered until the end of their lives in true faith go to these places in Heaven. The first resurrection and the first trial are a guarantee of life. Such people have shown their faith while living on earth.

„Then I saw thrones, and people seated on them who were given (1325) authority to judge (2917). I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Yeshu and because of the Word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and who had not accepted the mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life (2198) and reigned (936) with Christ for a thousand years.” – Revelation 20:4.

„The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection (386)! The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign (936) with Him for a thousand years.” – Revelation 20:5-6.

Now, while waiting for awakening, they remain in a sleep-like state:

„When you lie down, you will not be afraid; you will lie down, and your sleep will be pleasant.” – Proverbs 3:24.

„But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment will ever touch them.” – Wisdom 3:1.

Where do people who do not seek the truth go?
God the Father and His Son are the rightful Rulers of the earth. We are Their creation, Their property. We were given life, lands, talents for free. In return, God expects people to seek the truth of faith and to practice it. The teachings of Christ are binding on us.
There are a lot of lies in the world.

Just as someone who mindlessly follows doctors, scientists, politicians, can also blindly believe – religions. This is a big mistake. It may turn out that you, the Reader, are being lied to all the time. People who do not seek Biblical truth, blindly believe tradition and their priests, may not deserve Heaven and the first resurrection.
What happens to them after death?
They go to a place called: Hades.

„And I also say to you that you are Peter (Rock), and on this rock I will build My congregation/church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.” – Matthew 16:18.

There they await the second resurrection and judgment. The judgment will decide whether they will continue to live or not. The first death is not the end of the world.
I wish all of us to have only servants of God around us. When a person serving the Lord Yeshu dies, they have a good chance of going to the Garden of paradise.
When they had numerous illnesses in life, when they suffered, fought for existence, we can be happy that they are very happy at this moment.
This is a reason for pride, for joy.
Of course, the loss of such a valuable person always brings sadness, tears. However, our faith obliges us to behave appropriately, in accordance with the teachings of Christ.
